SSU declares four ruscists suspects for commanding missile strike on playground in Kryvyi Rih
The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered evidence against the command of the russian armed groupings that organised the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on 4 April 2025.
This was russia’s attack on residential buildings and a playground in a densely populated area in the central part of the city.
During the air attack, the occupiers used an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a fragmentation warhead. Dozens of civilians, including nine children, were killed as a result of the strike.
The investigation established that the attack was commanded by colonel general Aleksei Kim, chief of staff of russia’s joint forces command.
To organise the missile strike, he involved vice admiral Aleksandr Peshkov, head of the joint centre for planning and coordinating fire strikes.
According to the investigation, rear admiral Aleksei Petrushin, chief of russia’s intelligence and coordination centre for fire damage to the enemy, was entrusted with the preparation and technical support of the air attack.
Colonel Aleksandr Kisedobrev, head of the missile forces and artillery directorate of the joint group of forces of the aggressor state, also participated in fulfilling these tasks.
Security Service investigators notified these russian officials in absentia of suspicion under Articles 28.2 and 438.2 of the CCU (war crimes resulting in the death of people, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy).
Efforts to bring the russian military command to justice for crimes against Ukraine are underway.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
