SSU serves in absentia notice of suspicion to Hryhorii Leps who promised ruscists ‘fee’ for each destroyed Ukrainian tank
The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence and served a notice of suspicion to russian propagandist singer Grigory Lepsveridze, better known by his stage name Leps.
According to the investigation, he publicly supports russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, justifies and finances russia’s war.
It was documented that after his concert in the summer of 2023 Leps promised to pay russians a million rubles for each destroyed tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He has also provided ‘humanitarian aid’ to the russian occupation troops in the form of bulletproof vests, underwear and food.
Leps regularly talks about this during his interviews with russian propagandists.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators served Grigory Lepsveridze a notice of suspicion in absentia under two Articles of the CCU:
- 110-2.3 (financing of actions committed with the aim of forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine);
- 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
Since the perpetrator is hiding from justice in russia, efforts to bring him to prosecution for crimes against Ukraine are underway.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Ternopil region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
