SSU serves in absentia notice of suspicion to former ‘cadet’ Boris Korchevnikov who called for eradication of Ukrainians

The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence against another enemy propagandist who justifies russia’s war against Ukraine.

This is former actor Boris Korchevnikov, who once became famous for the TV series Cadets and now heads the pro-kremlin First public orthodox TV channel SPAS.

This platform is one of moscow’s mouthpieces, which spreads propaganda primarily to the domestic audience.

Korchevnikov is also a part-time host of television projects on central russian channels, including rossiya-1.

The SSU documented that in numerous broadcasts Korchevnikov repeatedly justified russia’s full-scale invasion and the war crimes of ruscists.

He has also publicly called for a seizure of entire Ukraine and physical extermination of Ukrainians.

In addition to his speeches from moscow TV studios, the propagandist travels to the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine, where he speaks in support of putin and russia’s armed aggression.

As was documented, he crossed the border of Ukraine outside checkpoints during 2022-2023 on multiple occasions.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served Korchevnikov a notice of suspicion in absentia under three Articles of the CCU:

  • 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
  • 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed with the use of mass media);
  • 332-2.2 (illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine).

As the suspect is hiding in russia, efforts are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
