Officers of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security blocked the illegal export of goods subject to state export control. The offenders tried to transport components for assault aircraft to Russia.

In Kharkiv region, the SBU detained smugglers near the state border. During the detention, law enforcement found a cargo with spare parts for the Mi-24 attack helicopter.

The seized goods were sent for examination.

The SBU initiated the criminal proceedings for violation of the procedure of international transfers of goods subject to state export control. Urgent investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the offense and bring to justice people involved in the illegal activities.

The issue of serving the organizer a suspicion notice is being resolved. A type of detention is being chosen.

The operation was carried out by the SBU Main Department of Internal Security jointly with the SBU Office in Kharkiv region under the supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
