SSU prevents escape of FSB agent who helped ruscists attack Pokrovsk

The SSU has thwarted an escape to russia of an agent of russia’s federal security service who operated in Donetsk region. The woman passed to the occupiers the locations of Ukrainian troops in one of the hottest frontline areas – Pokrovsk sector.

After carrying out enemy assignments near the frontline, she came to Kirovohrad region, planning to go as an ‘internally displaced person’ to the EU and then to russia.

The SSU Counterintelligence disrupted the agent’s plans and detained her in a rented apartment as she was preparing to leave.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 38-year-old resident of Selidove, Donetsk region. She was a member of an FSB agent network which the SSU neutralized in October 2023.

At that time, the Service detained two enemy assets who were tracking the routes of AFU heavy armored vehicles near Avdiivka.

For secrecy, the three agents acted separately, but had a common handler from the FSB.

The aggressor’s targets were fortifications and artillery positions of Ukrainian units, holding back the advance of russian assault groups in the direction of Pokrovsk.

During the search, the agent’s russian passport and mobile phone, which she used to communicate with her handler, were seized.

SSU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
