SSU detains Telegram channel administrator who leaked AFU locations in Mykolaiv to enemy
The SSU has detained another supporter of ruscism who passed locations of the Defence Forces in Mykolaiv to the occupiers.
The traitor was running a local Telegram channel, where he published locations and routes of Territorial Recruitment Centers officers and called on men to evade mobilization.
As established by the investigation, he acted on the instructions of russian intelligence services.
In this way, the enemy tried to disrupt mobilization in the region and planned to use the obtained data for sabotage against the Ukrainian defenders, for example, to set fire to the vehicles belonging to the AFU.
To gather the information, the perpetrator personally drove around the city and elicited information during seemingly friendly conversations with friends and acquaintances.
The SSU documented the blogger’s actions and detained him.
During the searches, the investigators seized 2 mobile phones and a computer with evidence of the crime.
The SSU served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 114-1.1 of the CCU (obstructing the lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations).
The suspect is in custody. His actions may be additionally qualified under Article 111-1.6 of the CCU (collaboration), punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Mykolaiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
