SSU detains FSB agent who adjusted russian strikes on three Ukrainian regions

The SSU Military Counterintelligence has exposed another agent of russia’s federal security service in Dnipro. The suspect, a rehabilitation coach for children with disabilities, had been recruited by the enemy to adjust the strikes on the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.

The investigation revealed that the enemy accomplice identified and passed the coordinates of Ukrainian air defence systems to the enemy.

The asset collected data on military sites while driving his car. Upon identifying potential ‘targets’, he marked their locations on Google Maps and provided a detailed description of the area.

He stored the information he gathered on his smartphone to report to his FSB handler later.

The SSU identified the agent and systematically documented his espionage activities before detaining him.

Simultaneously, action was taken to secure the locations of the Defence Forces in areas where the traitor carried out reconnaissance.

The agent was recruited by the russian intelligence via a Telegram channel offering ‘easy money’.

During searches, a laptop and a mobile phone containing evidence of his work for the FSB were seized from the suspect.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with the SSU Office in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
