SSU detains FSB’s informant who adjusted russian strikes on Kharkiv
The SSU Counterintelligence has exposed another FSB agent who adjusted russia’s air attacks on military and industrial infrastructure of Kharkiv oblast. He was detained ‘red-handed’ when reconnoitering the sites hit by the enemy in Kharkiv.
On the occupiers’ instructions, the spy drove in the area and covertly photographed the consequences of russian air attacks.
The ruscists were primarily interested in data on possible damage to local Ukrainian defence plants.
The asset sent the messages with coordinates of infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv region and other information to his FSB handler through a messenger app.
To disguise communication with the aggressor, the man used SIM cards of russian mobile operators and anonymous accounts.
The occupiers paid him for completed assignments, transferring money to his crypto wallet.
The invaders needed the intelligence to prepare new and adjust repeated missile and drone strikes on the border region.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is an employee of a local pharmaceutical company and was recruited by the FSB in March this year.
The individual came to the aggressor’s attention as an active user of pro-kremlin Telegram channels, where he often published his anti-Ukrainian posts.
During the search, the SSU found mobile phones that he used to contact the enemy special service.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody, facing life imprisonment.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
