SSU detains FSB agent who adjusted russian missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia

In Zaporizhzhia, the Security Service of Ukraine has detained another agent of russia’s federal security service. He turned out to be a 42-year-old local resident who worked for the occupiers as a spotter.

The man came to the attention of the russian special service when he posted pro-russian comments on Telegram.

After being recruited remotely, the asset received instructions from his handler to collect coordinates for russian air strikes on the city.

The enemy was interested in the locations of checkpoints and other places where military personnel were concentrated, as well as the locations of enterprises, especially defense plants.

To guide russian air strikes at potential targets, the agent filmed the objects on camera and marked their locations on Google Maps.

He also installed a hidden mini-camera with remote access for the FSB near one of the local highways.

Using the video device, the occupiers tracked the number of armoured vehicles of the Defense Forces moving towards the southern front.

SSU cyber units identified the traitor and detained him at his home. A phone with evidence of the crime was seized from him.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
