SSU detains FSB agent who guided aerial bombs at Sloviansk and waited for ruscist occupation

The SSU Counterintelligence has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service in Donetsk oblast. He turned out to be a 51-year-old security guard at a local boiler room who had been recruited by the enemy and was helping occupiers target their strikes on Sloviansk.

According to the investigation, the man came to the aggressor’s attention when he posted pro-kremlin comments on Telegram expressing his wish for a complete occupation of the region.

After his shifts at work, the agent walked around the frontline town to identify the locations of large concentrations of Defence Forces personnel and military equipment.

If he noticed Ukrainian military servicemen, he marked their geolocations on electronic maps, recording the approximate number of defenders, their weapons, and the purpose of surrounding buildings.

During his reconnaissance trips, the traitor collected intelligence on the consequences of russia’s recent attacks on Sloviansk with guided aerial bombs and strike drones.

He compiled the information he gathered on his smartphone into a ‘report’ for his FSB handler. The latter’s identity has already been established by the SSU Counterintelligence.

The Security Service documented the agent’s crimes at an early stage and detained him. Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defence Forces.

During the searches of the suspect’s home, an underground hiding place was discovered. He had set up to wait for the russians in case of fighting in the city.

Two mobile phones he used to contact the FSB via a messenger app were also seized from him.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
