SSU detains enemy agent who registered 27 Starlink devices for russia (video)
The SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained an enemy agent in the Kharkiv region who was involved in verifying Starlink systems on russia’s orders.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator registered 27 satellite communication terminals in the town of Izium, which is close to the front line.
The ruscists intended to use these devices to coordinate assault units and drone strikes in the Kharkiv region.
The SSU foiled these plans and apprehended the agent at his home in Izium.
The investigation revealed that the tasks assigned by the aggressor state were carried out by a displaced person who was unemployed and had moved to Izium from the temporarily occupied town of Khrustalnyi (formerly Krasnyi Luch), the Luhansk region.
The man came to the attention of the russian intelligence after moving to Izium when he started seeking ‘easy’ money on Instagram.
In exchange for money, he first registered a Starlink station in his own name and passed on the relevant details to his handler, based in the temporarily occupied part of eastern Ukraine.
Subsequently, the russian intelligence officer instructed the agent to verify further satellite equipment. To this end, the suspect involved local residents.
It has also been established that the asset was tasked with identifying the coordinates of the Defence Forces, which the ruscists were using to prepare strikes.
Upon completing his tasks, the traitor expected to be extracted to the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. However, the SSU thwarted the enemy’s plans.
During a search of the suspect’s premises, a smartphone containing evidence of his work for russian intelligence was seized.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of his status as a suspect under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment and confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office and with the assistance of the Third Separate Assault Brigade.
