SSU detains russian agent who passed intelligence on Ukrainian military positions in Bakhmut and exposes division head of Ukrenergo on collaboration with enemy (video)
The SSU has documented the unlawful activity of the head of one of the regional divisions of Ukrenergo National Energy Company.
While in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region, the official voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the enemy and took the position of the head of the so-called ‘Mariupol main networks of the DNR.’
After the ‘appointment’, he handed over the seized assets to the occupation administration and organized the disconnection of the facilities from the United Power System of Ukraine.
The traitor has been notified of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state. Comprehensive measures are underway to detain and bring him to justice.
In Donetsk region:
The SSU Counterintelligence detained an enemy agent who was gathering intelligence on positions of artillery and other combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut.
It has been established that the informant was recruited by russian special services. Russian intelligence was also interested in information on impact of enemy missile strikes in the town and on the presence of representatives of international organizations in the region.
In Kyiv:
The SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained a militant of the terrorist group Vostok. He took active part in capturing Ukrainian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Donetsk.
According to the investigation, the detainee is a former unit deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, who in 2014 joined the ranks of illegal armed groups of the so-called DNR. There, he was appointed instructor in combat and special training of terrorists.
For a long time, the suspect was hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territories in eastern Ukraine. Later, he moved to Kyiv and was going to get a job in one of the capital’s security companies.
In Mykolaiv area:
The SSU Military Counterintelligence and the SSU Office in Mykolaiv region shut down a channel of selling weapons and the ammunition stolen near the frontline in the South of Ukraine.
Two RPG-22 anti-tank rocket launchers and a Kalashnikov assault rifle with ammunition were seized from the suspects. They tried to sell the weapons to criminals.
The arms traffickers have been detained and notified of suspicion. The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint.
