SSU detains FSB agent helping russia prepare strikes on Cherkasy region

In the Cherkasy region, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another agent of russia’s federal security service. The traitor was helping the enemy prepare a new series of missile and drone attacks on the region.

As the investigation revealed, russia’s orders to guide attacks at targets were carried out by an unemployed local woman. The enemy recruited her via Telegram channels, where she was seeking ‘easy money’.

Acting on the FSB’s instructions, the agent tracked the locations of Ukrainian troops and energy infrastructure.

When she identified potential ‘targets’, she photographed them and geotagged the images.

The handler instructed the asset to conduct further reconnaissance near a power-generating plant that the aggressor state was preparing to strike again.

The agent was tasked with assessing the technical condition of the facility following russia’s recent air strikes.

Following a thorough documentation of the crime, the SSU detained the suspect.

A mobile phone and computer equipment containing evidence of her work for the enemy were seized.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of her status as a suspect under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment and confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
