SSU detains FSB agent who guided russian attacks at Odesa energy facilities
In Odesa, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another agent of russia’s federal security service. The perpetrator directed russian missile and drone strikes at the city’s energy infrastructure.
According to the investigation, her main task was to find and transmit the coordinates of transformer substations, as well as high-voltage facilities that power Odesa.
The detainee is a 48-year-old local unemployed woman who was recruited by russia on a Telegram channel offering ‘easy money’.
The agent travelled around the city on public transport, recording the territory of energy facilities on her smartphone.
She also walked around the perimeter of power substations to assess damage and determine their technical condition after the recent shelling.
The enemy accomplice transmitted the collected information to her FSB handler via a messenger app. In addition to photos with markings on Google Maps, she provided data on the stages of restoration work at the facilities.
The Security Service apprehended the agent at her home when she was preparing a ‘report’ for her russian handler.
Two mobile phones, which she used to collect intelligence and contact the FSB, were seized during the search.
SSU investigators have notified the agent of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
