SSU detains FSB agent guiding enemy missiles at Defence Forces positions near Kramatorsk

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another agent of russia’s federal security service in Donetsk region. She turned out to be a local shop assistant recruited by the enemy who was directing russian strikes on Kramatorsk and Malotaranivka.

The investigation revealed that the woman covertly questioned store visitors for information about the deployment locations of the Defence Forces in frontline settlements. She also attempted to verify the information she received with her son, a soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The SSU uncovered these activities and detained the agent at an early stage. Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defence Forces.

During the search of the suspect’s premises, a smartphone containing an anonymous chat in a messaging app where she coordinated her actions with the russian intelligence operative was seized.

It was established that the woman was spotted by him on one of the Telegram channels, where she spoke out in support of the kremlin regime.

Subsequently, the ruscist recruited her under the guise of a close relationship and even promised to come to her if the region were captured.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of her status as a suspect under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Specialised Defence Prosecutor’s Office for the Eastern Region.
