SSU detains FSB agent recruited on TikTok to spy in Donetsk region
In Donetsk region, the Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service. She is a 43-year-old local employee of a coal mining enterprise who adjusted enemy fire on the hottest area of the front line – Pokrovsk sector.
According to the investigation, the occupiers recruited the woman when they noticed her online broadcasts on TikTok. For covert communication with her FSB handler, the agent switched to another communication channel in a messenger app.
Following instructions from the russian service, she walked in the frontline area near Myrnohrad and tried to identify locations of Ukrainian troops.
The enemy was particularly interested in the ‘rear’ locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and combat positions of artillery units that fire at the occupiers’ assault units.
The SSU Counterintelligence uncovered the agent, documented her crimes, and detained her at a checkpoint.
At the scene, her mobile phone was seized, which she used to photograph the locations of the Defense Forces and contact the FSB.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator s a resident of the front-line town of Myrnohrad, which is under constant russian shelling.
During the evacuation of civilians from the front-line zone, the woman remained in the city to carry out enemy tasks, while her two children were taken deeper into Ukraine.
Now, SSU investigators have notified her of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
