SSU detains enemy agent installing radio transmitters for navigating russian drones and missiles in northern Ukraine (video)

In Sumy region, the SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained another agent of the russian military intelligence (‘the GRU’). The traitor adjusted enemy attacks on the region and provided stable communication for russian drones and missiles by installing repeaters in the area.

According to the investigation, the agent is a 34-year-old resident of Konotop who came to russia’s attention when she was looking for easy money on Telegram.

After recruitment, the woman purchased radio navigation equipment with money from the russian special service and tuned it to the frequencies required by the enemy.

The agent then searched for abandoned buildings, broke into them and installed ‘radio beacons’ on the roofs.

Using these devices, the occupiers established stable communication for their drones and missiles, enabling them to bypass the Ukrainian electronic warfare system.

The enemy accomplice also sent photos and coordinates of local military units to her handler and set up a video trap near one of the regional air bases in the form of a 4G camera hidden in the terrain with online broadcasting for the russian intelligence.

In this way, the aggressor hoped to track the frequency and directions of flights by Ukrainian combat aircraft and the consequences of russian strikes on the border area.

The Security Service identified the agent, documented her actions, and detained her.

Simultaneously, action was taken to deactivate the spy devices and protect the Defence Forces’ bases.

Six smartphones, which the perpetrator used for covert communication with her handler, were seized during the search.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Military Counterintelligence and investigators of the SSU Sumy Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
