SSU detains two FSB spotters who directed missile strikes on Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained two agents of russia’s federal security service in Dnipropetrovsk region. They were adjusting russia’s missile and drone strikes targeting the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.

According to investigators, the two local residents operated independently but were both controlled by the same russian handler.

One of the agents worked at a metallurgical plant. During his off-duty hours, he drove around the city in his vehicle, identifying locations where Ukrainian military personnel and equipment were concentrated. He also tracked the timing and routes of Defence Forces convoys heading toward the front line.

The second suspect is a local draft evader who, while hiding from mobilisation, helped coordinate russian airstrikes. From the window of his apartment, he tracked the movement routes of mobile fair defence groups operating in Dnipro and passed this information to the enemy to adjust missile and drone attacks.

The SSU Counterintelligence documented the spotters’ activities and detained both individuals at their homes. During searches, investigators seized smartphones containing evidence of their collaboration with the russian intelligence.

Both individuals were recruited by the aggressor through pro-kremlin chat groups on Telegram.

The SSU has notified the detainees of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspects are in custody without bail and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
