SSU detains two aggressor’s informants who guided russian strikes at Defence Forces locations in Kramatorsk
In the course of counter-sabotage efforts in the frontline areas of Donetsk oblast, the SSU detained another two enemy accomplices.
The traitors are residents of Kramatorsk who were passing intelligence on locations of the Defence Forces to the occupiers.
Primarily, they gathered data on bases and routes of movement of units of the AFU and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Bakhmut direction.
The SSU detained both informants while they were conducting reconnaissance.
According to the investigation, one of them was collecting intelligence and passing it to his accomplice, who administered a pro-russian Telegram group and was in touch with a militant of the russian occupation grouping on the eastern front.
The invaders needed the data to prepare targeted missile strikes on Kramatorsk district.
During the searches of the suspects’ homes, the SSU found the mobile phones, which they used to communicate with the enemy via a messenger app.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified one of the detainees of suspicion under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (dissemination of information on movement, transfer or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which allowed to identify them in the area, committed under martial law).
The actions of the other suspect, administrator of a pro-kremlin online group, have been qualified under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration).
The suspects are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
