SSU detains two enemy informants in Donetsk region: one spied for Wagner PMC storming Bakhmut

The SSU has exposed another two aggressor’s accomplices who provided occupiers with intelligence on locations of the Defence Forces near the frontline in Donetsk oblast.

One of the detained agents is a woman, resident of Bakhmut district, who collected information for the enemy on location of firing positions and routes of movement of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut.

According to the investigation, the informant sent the data to Wagner PMC militants through her acquaintances living in russia.

She used Telegram messenger for communication and sent information in audio messages and as marks on electronic maps.

Another offender is a resident of Sloviansk who was in direct ‘communication’ with a machine gunner of the russian occupation grouping on the eastern front.

This woman ‘met’ the ruscist in the banned russian social network Odnoklassniki.

On his instructions, she collected intelligence on movements of the Defence Forces units near the town.

The informant also passed to the aggressor coordinates of a local clinic and a school.

The SSU apprehended both suspects when they were conducting reconnaissance.

SSU investigators served them notices of suspicion of committing crimes. The detained women are in custody. The investigation is underway.

The operational and investigative activities were conducted by the SSU Offices in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Luhansk regions jointly with the 109th Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
