SSU detains ruscist informant who scattered screws to slow down AFU’s convoys in Lyman

In the course of stabilization measures in the liberated territories of Donetsk oblast, the SSU detained another enemy accomplice.

The suspect is a 26-year-old resident of Lyman. During May 2023, he collected information for the occupiers on locations and movements of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the region.

Primarily, he was interested in precise coordinates of checkpoints and Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian railway] facilities.

The enemy asset sent the data to a gunner of a tank company of the russian tactical group Kupol, with whom he had previously studied at school. Communication was maintained through the banned social network Odnoklassniki.

The investigation also found that during the battles for Lyman the suspect deliberately hampered the movement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

To do this, he secretly scattered self-tapping screws on the roads used by Ukrainian defenders.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators served the aggressor’s agent a notice of suspicion under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration).

The suspect is currently in custody, facing up to 15 years of imprisonment.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operation and investigation under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
