SSU detains enemy informant who adjusted strikes on Dnipropetrovsk region and waited for occupation

The SSU has apprehended another enemy informant in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The perpetrator adjusted missile and drone strikes on the frontline town of Synelnykove and was waiting for the aggressor to capture the region.

The traitor is a 30-year-old local unemployed individual whom the occupiers noticed because of his pro-kremlin comments on social media.

Among other things, he expressed hope for the region’s ‘accession’ to russia.

In one of the chats, he was contacted by an administrator of a Telegram channel, controlled by the russian intelligence.

After remote recruitment, the agent began preparing coordinates for new air strikes on Synelnykove district.

He walked around the area and covertly recorded locations of Ukrainian troops.

At the same time, the spy collected data and photographed local power substations.

After reconnaissance ‘walks’, he sent the data to his russian handler.

The SSU detained the enemy agent at his home. Action was taken to protect the units of the Defence Forces.

A mobile phone, used for communication with the russian handler, was seized from the suspect during the search.

SSU investigators notified him of suspicion under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on movement or location of the AFU and other formations, committed under martial law).

The enemy accomplice is in custody and faces up to 8 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
