SSU detains enemy informant who guided russian missiles at AFU hospitals in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, the SSU detained another informant of russian special services, who collected intelligence on the Defense Forces.

The aggressor was interested in the locations of military hospitals and other healthcare facilities where Ukrainian defenders are treated and rehabilitated.

In addition, the spy tried to identify bases of AFU combat units, their weapons and equipment.

The traitor also sketched schemes of defense points near the key bridges that could be used by Ukrainian military vehicles.

The occupiers expected to receive intelligence from the informant and use it to prepare missile and drone strikes on Mykolaiv’s military infrastructure.

However, the SSU worked proactively: the suspect was identified, his criminal actions - documented, and he was detained at his home.

As a result, the SSU thwarted the aggressor’s plans to attack Ukrainian defense facilities.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is an employee of a local utility company.

The man came to the invaders’ attention because of his pro-kremlin online activity and was recruited remotely.

To carry out enemy tasks, the traitor drove around the city and secretly recorded locations of targets.

He marked the sites on electronic maps and ‘reported’ to his russian handler in an anonymous chat.

During the search of the suspect’s home, the SSU seized two mobile phones which he used for reconnaissance and sabotage activity against Ukraine.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on the supply, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody, facing up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Mykolaiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
