SSU detains FSB informant who directed enemy strikes on Kramatorsk while working as school vice principal

The SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained an informant of russia’s federal security service in Donetsk oblast. She turned out to be the deputy director of a local school who coordinated russian missile and drone attacks on Kramatorsk.

As the investigation established, the education official came to the FSB’s attention when she travelled to belarus at the start of the full-scale war.

Last summer, the FSB activated their cooperation and tasked her with tracking the locations of the Defence Forces in the frontline city.

To carry out this order, she walked about the city and recorded sites with high concentrations of Ukrainian troops and military equipment.

The agent also attempted to covertly collect intelligence through acquaintances during casual conversations.

She transmitted the gathered data via a messaging app to her handler in russia as voice and text messages, specifying the locations of potential ‘targets’.

The SSU documented the perpetrator’s actions and detained her at her residence. Simultaneously, action was taken to secure the locations of Ukrainian troops.

A smartphone, which she used to collect intelligence and maintain contact with the FSB, was seized during the search.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was conducted by the SSU Military Counterintelligence and the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Specialised Defence Prosecutor’s Office for the Eastern Region.
