The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another enemy accomplice who provided information to the occupiers on the positions and movements of Ukrainian troops in Donetsk oblast.

The perpetrator is a 38-year-old resident of Toretsk, who moved to Vinnytsia region at the beginning of the full-scale war. She obtained the status of an internally displaced person and started working for russia’s federal security service.

To receive intelligence from the eastern front, the woman used her nephew, who unwittingly disclosed information to her. He was a contract soldier who had left his military unit without permission and was hiding in Toretsk.

During conversations on the phone, she asked the deserter about the locations of the Defense Forces and consequences of enemy strikes.

To transmit the information to her russian handler, the traitor used a messenger app.

After each session of communication with the occupiers, she deleted all texts in the anonymous chat.

Feeling the inevitability of punishment, the agent decided to move to Kirovohrad region, where she laid low and stopped all contacts with the FSB.

However, this did not help her. The SSU established the suspect’s location and detained her in a rented apartment.

During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of her cooperation with the russian intelligence was seized.

According to the investigation, the woman came to the enemy’s attention when she left pro-kremlin comments in Telegram chats.

SSU investigators have now served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on movement or location of the AFU, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Vinnytsia region, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Vinnytsia Region Prosecutor’s Office.
