In Dnipro, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained an enemy informant who was assisting the enemy in preparing a new series of missile and drone attacks.

The ruscists tasked the asset with guiding air strikes on administrative buildings of state institutions in the central part of the city.

The perpetrator also passed intelligence to the aggressor state on the locations and aftermath of previous shelling.

The investigation revealed that the enemy attacks were directed by a local unemployed woman who came to their attention via Telegram channels offering ‘easy’ money.

She walked the streets of the city, secretly filming potential ‘targets’ on her mobile phone, and passed this data to her handler in russia.

To conceal her communications with the russian intelligence, the informant used an anonymous chat on a messaging app, deleting her texts after each session.

The SSU identified the spy, documented her crimes, and arrested her at her home.

A smartphone containing evidence of her espionage and sabotage activities was seized during searches.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorised disclosure of information regarding movement, deployment, or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a state of martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces up to 12 years’ imprisonment.

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offence and to determine whether the suspect’s illegal actions may additionally be classified as high treason committed under martial law.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
