SSU detains enemy informant guiding russian glide bombs at Kherson’s defenders, 10 km from front line

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy informant in the Kherson region. She turned out to be a resident of the Bilozerka community who, acting on russia’s orders, was directing shelling of the frontline region.

The investigation revealed that the woman came to russia’s attention through a long-standing acquaintance who lives in the aggressor state and collaborates with the russian intelligence services.

On their instructions, the woman drove around the area, 10 km from the line of contact, in her own car, recording the deployment locations of the Defence Forces, as well as the routes taken by Ukrainian Armed Forces military vehicles towards the front line.

The informant passed the data she obtained to the enemy in the form of coordinates for potential ‘targets’, marked on Google Maps.

The ruscists planned to use the intelligence to prepare strikes against the Defence Forces.

The SSU exposed the spotter in time, documented her crimes and detained her during another reconnaissance mission.

During the search of the detainee’s car, a smartphone containing evidence of her work for the enemy was seized.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorised disclosure of information regarding the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is in custody and faces up to 8 years’ imprisonment.

The decision on additional charges against the suspect under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law) is pending.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
