The SSU keeps on exposing traitors and collaborators who assist Russian occupiers by collecting intelligence on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On March 18, 2022, the SSU detained several such suspects in different regions of Ukraine.

In Rivne region:

The SSU special purpose team detained an individual who betrayed Ukraine and worked for the enemy. He passed to the Russian occupiers information on the redeployment of military equipment of Ukrainian Armed Forces and location of military units, which helped the enemy to carry out airstrikes.

The agent also wanted to head occupation authorities in case Russians occupy Rivne region.

In Dnipropetrovsk region:

The SSU exposed another group of fraudsters who stole money intended for defence of Ukrainian cities. Through social networks, they found contacts of local heads of authorities in different regions. Fraudsters contacted them posing as assistants to the heads of military and civilian administrations in the areas with intensive warfare and asked for help with funds for defence.

The fraudsters have been detained, the process of returning stolen funds is underway.

In Vinnytsia region:

In downtown Vinnytsia, the SSU special purpose unit Alpha detained militant of so-called DNR. The man ‘served’ as a sapper in the Somalia terrorist group. According to him, he fled from the war and was hiding. Now, the SSU investigators will establish his real motives.

In Kyiv:

The SSU detained another traitor, who in the past was an official of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. Now, he was providing the militants of the so-called L/DNR and the Russian army with intelligence on personnel and equipment of Ukrainian Armed Forces, their stationing, etc.

In Odesa region:

The SSU detained a resident of Odesa region for assisting Russian occupiers. The individual was collecting and passing to the enemy photos of location and equipment of Territorial Defence checkpoints and Border Guard Service units in the region.

The informant had lists of patriotic citizens who are helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The traitor sent all the information through a Telegram channel created by ruscists.

All the exposed traitors were detained. Investigations are underway to bring them to responsibility for their actions.
