SSU detains FSB spotter who guided russia’s combined attacks at military plants in western Ukraine

In Khmelnytskyi region, the Security Service of Ukraine has detained another enemy agent. The perpetrator collected coordinates of local military facilities and defence factories, which russia used to prepare missile and drone attacks.

The investigation established that the FSB agent was a local handyman. He came to the attention of the russian special service while looking for easy money on Telegram.

To gather intelligence, the traitor elicited ‘necessary’ information during everyday conversations with acquaintances.

He then conducted further reconnaissance in the area, photographing potential targets and marking their coordinates on Google Maps.

The SSU cyber units documented the agent’s crime and caught him red-handed when he was trying to film a video near a facility the enemy was interested in.

A smartphone with evidence of working for russia’s federal security service was seized from the suspect during the searches.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without the right to bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region jointly with the SSU Main Directorate for Internal Security under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
