SSU detains enemy agent who posed as a woman to covertly adjust missile strikes on Odesa

The SSU has apprehended another enemy agent in Odesa region. The man adjusted russian missile and drone strikes on locations of the Defence Forces.

The perpetrator is a 26-year-old local unemployed man recruited by the occupiers through Telegram channels, where he was looking for ‘easy’ money.

For secrecy, the agent grew long hair and posed as a girl. Disguised in this way, he took pictures of military facilities and recorded their coordinates.

According to the SSU Internal Security, the enemy’s potential targets included the bases of the Armed Forces, the Security Service and border guards in the port city of Izmail.

The adversary planned to use the data to launch a new series of air attacks on Odesa region.

However, the SSU was proactive: the agent identified, his crimes -documented and he was detained at his home.

During the search, the investigators seized a mobile phone with evidence of his reconnaissance and sabotage activities for russia.

The SSU has served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out jointly with the SSU investigators in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
