The SSU exposed a resident of Kharkiv who was gathering intelligence for russian special services.

The investigation established that the 41-year-old man collected and passed to the enemy information on the location of Ukrainian military units, coordinates of military equipment and fortifications in the region.

During the search, the law enforcement found and seized:

• 3 mobile phones with evidence of unlawful activity;
• notebooks with records of intelligence information.

The spy has been detained and notified of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (treason committed under martial law).

This crime is punishable by imprisonment for fifteen years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Kharkiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
