SSU detains individuals who adjusted enemy missile strikes in Kyiv, Lviv and Donetsk regions (video)

Since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, the SSU has notified over 760 russian citizens of suspicion. The exposed criminals are involved in waging an aggressive war, war crimes and subversive activities against our state. Counterintelligence work is constantly underway to identify persons who assist the enemy on the territory of Ukraine.

In late June, the SSU Counterintelligence exposed and detained a russian agent who adjusted enemy’s rocket attacks on Yavoriv military training range in Lviv region.

The SSU operatives established that the information was passed to the enemy by a former KGB officer. He sent the exact locations marked on the map to his handler through a special secure chat in a Telegram channel.

The missile strike on Yavoriv range killed 61 servicemen and wounded 147.

The agent has been notified of suspicion under Article 111.1 (treason) of the CCU. The court has chosen custody without bail as a measure of restraint.

In Kyiv:

The SSU Counterintelligence detained a russian agent who adjusted missile strikes on the capital. After the strikes, he ‘reported’ the results to his supervisor and sent him photos from the scene. Among the targets of the enemy was a strategically important defence plant.

The agent is an employee of one of the machine-building enterprises. Among his colleagues, he expressed support for the aggressors and denied their crimes, including shelling of Ukrainian cities.

Another enemy accomplice was exposed at one of Kyiv state-owned enterprises. The collaborator distributed provocative material among the employees via Telegram. In his messages, he justified russia’s full-scale aggression explaining that it was necessary for the ‘defence of Donbas.’

During the investigation, mobile phones, electronic flash drives with evidence of criminal activity and firearms were seized from the suspect.

In Donetsk region:

The SSU detained a russian agent who was gathering intelligence on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut. It was established that the traitor had been recruited by the enemy in June this year to carry out subversive activities on the eastern front.

He used pre-arranged secure channels to transmit information.

In Chernihiv region:

The SSU detained an enemy agitator who on social networks called to support the occupiers and denied their war crimes. He coordinated his activity with representatives of russian special services in the temporarily occupied territory in eastern Ukraine.

In addition, in Dnipropetrovsk region, the SSU exposed theft of over UAH 1 mln allocated for modernizing railway infrastructure.

The scheme was organized by the head of a local commercial entity that won a tender for repair works on Prydniprovska railway facilities. According to the signed documents, the contractors were to carry out technical re-equipment, replacement of outdated units and service of tractive substations.

However, the work was not carried out in full, and part of the budget was transferred to shadow entities through artificial overestimation of costs.

In Zaporizhzhia:

Following an investigation by the SSU, court sentenced a militant of the DNR terrorist organization to 15 years in prison. The militant was detained near Liubimovka village, Zaporizhzhia region.

It was established that he was a member of the occupation forces and took an active part in hostilities against Ukrainian troops since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion.

The SSU is acting upon all the revealed facts of criminal activity to expose and bring to justice all the culprits.
