SSU detains FSB’s informant who adjusted enemy strikes from Smerch multiple rocket launchers on Kramatorsk

The SSU cyber units have exposed another informant of russia’s FSB who adjusted russian rocket attacks on the frontline areas of Donetsk region.

To guide russian weapons on targets, the woman collected information on location and movement of Ukraine’s Defence Forces near Kramatorsk.

For example, the spy tried to identify locations of the AFU’s electronic warfare equipment and air defence systems.

She also walked to the sites hit by the enemy, including social and residential infrastructure facilities, to covertly record consequences of the strikes and prepare a ‘report’ for the occupiers.

The ruscists used her data to prepare attacks on Kramatorsk using Smerch multiple rocket launchers and other weapons.

The SSU detained the enemy accomplice at her home.

According to the investigation, the spotter is a local resident, whom the aggressor recruited remotely through her brother, a militant of russian occupation troops in eastern Ukraine.

It was to him that the woman transmitted intelligence via a messenger app in the form of text and voice messages, as well as media files.

During the search of the suspect’s apartment, the SSU found a laptop and a mobile phone with evidence of her sabotage activity against Ukraine.

SSU investigators served the FSB’s informant a notice of suspicion under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (providing assistance to the armed formations of the aggressor state in conducting warfare against the AFU and other military formations).

The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint. The suspect is facing up to 15 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
