SSU detains russian GRU spotter who guided enemy strikes at hospitals in Sloviansk
The SSU Counterintelligence detained another agent of russian military intelligence in Donetsk oblast. The perpetrator was preparing coordinates for russian air strikes on Kramatorsk direction.
The investigation established that the enemy accomplice was a 53-year-old saleswoman in a shop in the frontline town of Sloviansk, who was waiting for a complete occupation of the region.
She came to the attention of russia’s GRU when she leaked the results of enemy strikes on the city to Telegram channels.
After recruitment, the agent began searching for medical facilities where wounded Defence Forces soldiers were being treated and underwent rehabilitation.
To obtain this information, she discreetly questioned her acquaintances and her husband, an ambulance driver.
On her way to work, the enemy accomplice tried to identify the locations of fortified areas and backup command posts of Ukrainian troops. She then passed these coordinates on to her handler.
The SSU prevented the transfer of information to the aggressor and detained the traitor.
Her smartphones and tablet, which she used to collect intelligence and contact the GRU were seized during searches.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Chernivtsi, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
