SSU detains spotter guiding russian strikes at defence plants and volunteer centres in Dnipropetrovsk region

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent. The perpetrator collected targeting data for russia to guide missile and drone strikes at defence enterprises and civil society organisations that supply equipment to Ukrainian defenders.

Particularly, she was collecting intelligence on military and volunteer facilities in Dnipro and the region.

The Security Service identified the suspect, documented her crime and detained her.

The enemy agent turned out to be a resident of the Donetsk region who moved to the Dnipropetrovsk region in September 2025. The woman came to russia’s attention through acquaintances from the temporarily occupied territory.

After the recruitment, the asset walked or travelled around the area by public transport to photograph and film sites which, in her opinion, could be used for the needs of the front line.

She also documented the aftermath of previous shelling in the region for a report to her handlers in russia.

During the searches of the suspect’s premises, a smartphone containing evidence of her work for the aggressor state was seized.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The enemy accomplice is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
