SSU detains FSB mole at leading Ukrainian military institute
The Security Service, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, detained a cadet of a leading military institute, who turned out to be an agent of russia’s federal security service.
On enemy orders, the perpetrator was supposed to adjust a missile strike on the facilities of the educational institution where he was studying.
To carry this out, he marked the coordinates of the training buildings, training grounds and barracks on maps, as well as the production facilities of Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises where cadets were conducting field training.
While at these locations, the agent also covertly took georeferenced photographs of the targets.
The traitor prepared ‘reports’ for his FSB handler, in which he even outlined the cadets’ schedule at several facilities.
The SSU uncovered the enemy accomplice, documented his crime and detained him on the territory of the institute.
According to the investigation, the individual came to the FSB’s attention while looking for ‘easy money’ on Telegram.
However, instead of money from the aggressor, the detainee received a suspicion notice from the SSU investigators under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out with the assistance of the military institute’s leadership and the procedural supervision of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
