SSU detains russian agent who conducted reconnaissance of Ukrainian positions in Kharkiv region
The SSU exposed another russian agent in Kharkiv oblast. The enemy accomplice was detained ‘in action’ when he was collecting intelligence on positions and movement of Ukrainian military equipment and personnel.
During the search, a mobile phone, SIM cards and a laptop with evidence of unlawful activity were seized from the suspect.
According to the investigation, the individual who worked for russian special services is an 18-year-old resident of Krasnohrad, Kharkiv region. He cooperated with the enemy for money.
SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion, and court chose custody as a measure of restraint. The enemy accomplice is facing up to 12 years in prison.
The operation was conducted by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region jointly with the cyber unit of the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
