SSU detains collaborator who supplied fuel for russian military equipment during occupation of Kharkiv region
In Kharkiv oblast, the SSU detained a member of Shevchenkove village council who voluntarily cooperated with the aggressor during the occupation of the area.
According to the investigation, after the seizure of Kupiansk district the official supported russian invaders and received a ‘permission’ from them to trade in fuel.
To conduct the illegal business, the collaborator used a local oil depot and a network of captured petrol stations in Kupiansk and Shevchenkove.
The ‘consumers’ of fuel and lubricants were the russian occupation units, which refuelled their vehicles at the petrol stations.
To fill the stations’ tanks, the traitor arranged fuel supplies from russia. From the profits received, he transferred a monthly payment to the aggressor state’s budget.
After the area was liberated, the collaborator remained in the village, tried to lay low and evade justice.
However, the SSU found and apprehended him.
Based on the collected evidence, the detained individual was served a notice of suspicion under Article 111-1.4 of the CCU (collaboration).
The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Kharkiv Office carried out the operation jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
