Kharkiv region: SSU detains former Ukrzaliznytsia officials who helped bring russian military echelons to Ukraine

As a result of stabilization measures in the liberated districts of Kharkiv region, the SSU exposed four enemy accomplices.

The offenders are former officials of Ukrzaliznytsia regional branch, who supported russian invaders after the full-scale invasion began.

After part of the region was captured, they voluntarily joined the local occupation administration.

One of them was appointed chief, the other two were appointed deputy chiefs, and the third was appointed an engineer of the ‘Kupiansk - southern railway track’ established by the enemy.

In these ‘positions’, they helped the aggressor state restore railroad communication with the region for the needs of the occupation groups on the eastern front.

The collaborators facilitated the transportation of military equipment, weapons and ammunition from russia to the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv region.

The ‘officials’ also organized ‘transfer’ of the equipment of the local Ukrzaliznytsia unit to russian invaders.

They also personally urged locals to join the russian-controlled ‘railway enterprise’, promising support from ruscists and salaries in russian rubles.

After the liberation of Kharkiv region, one of the perpetrators fled to russia, while the others decided to ‘lay low’ in the region and hide from justice.

However, the SSU located and detained three enemy accomplices.

SSU investigators have notified them of suspicion under the Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

Court chose custody as a measure of restraint.

The fourth person involved, who fled to the aggressor state, was also notified of suspicion of committing a crime.

The SSU is acting to bring him to justice.

The SSU Kharkiv Office exposed the offenders under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
