SSU detains russian agent who helped enemy strike airfields in Dnipropetrovsk region (video)
The SSU has detained an FSB agent who gathered intelligence on the airfields and railway facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region as well as on location and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defence.
The informant transmitted the collected data to russian special services by secure communication channels. In his messages, he described each target and surrounding territory in detail, including coordinates, photos and video footage.
The occupiers used this information to plan sabotage and massive artillery shelling of critical infrastructure.
According to the investigation, the traitor is an employee of a private security company in Dnipro. He came to the attention of russian special services because of his radical pro-kremlin views, which he tried to impose on his compatriots. After the start of russia’s full-scale aggression, he was recruited by an officer of the FSB. He received the ‘offer’ to cooperate with the occupiers through a messenger app.
During the searches, SSU investigators found his communication devices with evidence of criminal activity.
The detainee has been notified of suspicion of treason committed under martial law. The court has decided to keep the suspect in custody.
The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office.
