SSU detains russian agent who passed information on Ukrainian Air Defence positions in Kharkiv region to enemy (video)
The SSU cyber specialists have exposed another enemy forward observer in the east of our country.
As a result of an operation in Kharkiv, the SSU detained a ruscist accomplice, who passed to the aggressor intelligence on deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops.
One of the primary goals of his reconnaissance and sabotage activity was to identify combat positions of Ukrainian Air Defence on the eastern direction.
The occupiers used the obtained data to carry out missile attacks on Ukrainian targets.
According to the investigation, the detainee is a resident of Saltivskyi residential district – an area of Kharkiv most affected by enemy shelling and strikes.
This summer, the individual began to look for ways to ‘reach out’ to the invaders through social media to offer his help in the war against Ukraine. To do this, he posted in social networks information on location of temporary bases of Ukrainian Defence Forces.
After the offender had published the prohibited information, the enemy attacked the ‘disclosed’ positions of Ukrainian Air Defence five times.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion of crime under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).
Court chose custody as a measure of restraint.
The SSU Office in Kharkiv Region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
