SSU detains enemy informant preparing russian strikes on Mykolaiv evading Ukrainian air defenses

The SSU Counterintelligence has foiled new attempts by ruscists to obtain up-to-date information on Mykolaiv’s defense. This time, the Service detained a 31-year-old local enemy informant who was coordinating attacks on our defenders.

The adversary’s targets were areas with high concentrations of Ukrainian troops and military equipment.

For the strikes to evade the air defenses, the agent simultaneously tried to identify positions of AFU radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as routes of mobile air defense groups.

The perpetrator also elicited information from his acquaintances, local residents, during everyday conversations.

The Security Service identified the traitor at an early stage of his reconnaissance activities, documented them, and took action to protect the locations of the Defense Forces.

In the final stage of the operation, the SSU detained the enemu accomplice at his home in Mykolaiv.

According to the investigation, the informant worked for traitor Serhiy Lebedev (also known as ‘Lokhmatyi’), who is hiding in Donetsk and works for two russian special services: FSB and GRU. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the SSU has uncovered over 30 agents of Lohmatyi’s network.

Computer equipment and a telephone with evidence of the agent’s sabotage activities were seized during searches.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on movement or location of the AFU, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Mykolaiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
