SSU detains another two enemy agents preparing new russian attacks on Kramatorsk

The SSU Counterintelligence has apprehended two enemy agents in Donetsk oblast. The two women acted separately but carried out the same tasks for the occupiers – adjusting missile and bomb strikes on Kramatorsk.

One of the traitors is a local unemployed woman who carried out orders from russia’s federal security service and wished for the city to be captured.

To recruit this agent, russian special services used her son, a militant in the russian occupation forces who is fighting against Ukraine on the eastern front.

The asset’s main task was to find backup command posts and fortified areas of the Defense Forces near Kramatorsk.

She also provided the enemy with locations of the sites hit and data on consequences of their strikes.

Another agent is a local resident who worked for the russian military intelligence (‘the GRU’). The woman came to russia’s attention as the author of anti-Ukrainian content in one of the pro-kremlin groups on Odnoklassniki social network.

There, she was approached by the administrator of the enemy internet community, a serving employee of the GRU, who offered her cooperation in exchange for money.

On his instructions, the asset walked around the front-line town and recorded the locations of Ukrainian troops, marking the geolocations on Google Maps.

SSU investigators have now notified both detainees of suspicion of crimes under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
  • 436-2.1, 436-2.2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The suspects are in custody without bail and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The counter-sabotage measures were carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
