Mykolaiv region: SSU detains another two russian agents trying to track HIMARS (video)

The SSU detained another two agents of russian special services in Mykolaiv region.

One of the detained traitors collected and passed to the enemy information on deployment and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine across the region. Separately, he ‘hunted’ for HIMARS, which are a priority target for the aggressor state.

The investigation documented that this agent had provided russians with the coordinates of critical infrastructure facilities and adjusted the strikes on Varvarivskyi Bridge in Mykolaiv.

The other detainee, a resident of Mykolaiv, operated on the information front and was responsible for disguising users and supporters of pro-russian Telegram chats.

The agent also disseminated content justifying or denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

During the searches at the suspects’ homes, the SSU uncovered and seized electronic devices used by the perpetrators to communicate, anonymize users, and pass intelligence.

The detainee who helped the enemy carry out strikes has been notified of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer of weapons and military supplies to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). The court is to decide on the type of detention. The crime is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.

The other detainee will be notified of suspicion under Article 436-2 of the CCU (justifying, recognizing as legitimate, denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants). The crime is punishable by arrest for six months or imprisonment for up to three years.

The SSU Office in the Mykolaiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
