SSU detains another two collaborators who called to ‘vote for accession’ of Kherson oblast to russia
The SSU has apprehended another two collaborators who assisted russia in holding a sham referendum during the temporary occupation of the right-bank Kherson region.
The detained women are residents of Kherson region who, after its occupation, supported the invaders and voluntarily joined the occupation ‘election commissions’.
Being ‘officials’ of local ‘election commissions’, they were engaged in falsifying the illegal ‘vote’ on the ‘accession’ of Kherson oblast to the aggressor state.
For example, the collaborator from Beryslav district made door-to-door visits to residents of Mykolaivka village.
Accompanied by armed occupiers, the ‘official’ forced people to cast their ‘votes’ in favour of the kremlin.
In people refused, she threatened them with imprisonment in russian torture chambers and ‘confiscation’ of private property.
After the liberation of the district, the woman fled to Kryvyi Rih and tried to hide from justice in a rented apartment.
However, the SSU found and detained her.
Another enemy accomplice was apprehended in Komyshany village, Kherson oblast. During the fake plebiscite, the woman agreed to become the so-called ‘election committee secretary’.
In this ‘position’, she campaigned for local residents to take part in russia’s sham referendum.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served both suspicion notices under Articles 28.2, 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, committed by a group upon prior conspiracy).
The suspects are in custody, facing up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigations were conducted by the SSU Offices in Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
