SSU detains another FSB agent preparing enemy breakthrough to Pokrovsk

In Donetsk region, the SSU has apprehended another member of an intelligence network of russia’s federal security service, which was dismantled in August this year.

Then, as a result of a special operation in six Ukrainian regions, 9 russian agents were detained simultaneously. They were adjusting enemy air strikes on Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, as well as Donetsk, Odesa and Kirovohrad oblasts.

The tenth member, who was spying on the Defence Forces in the hottest frontline area, Pokrovsk sector, has been exposed now.

He was reconnoitering locations of Ukrainian military personnel and heavy weapons near Pokrovsk and neighbouring Myrnohrad.

The agent’s special focus was on fortifications and firing positions of artillery, which fires at enemy assault groups.

He also monitored the routes and number of military convoys heading to reinforce Ukrainian troops.

The ruscists needed the intelligence to prepare new offensive operations to capture Pokrovsk and neighbouring settlements.

To carry out the enemy task, the asset walked around the frontline area and covertly recorded locations of the Defence Forces units.

The SSU documented his criminal actions and detained him at his home. The traitor is a 40-year-old local resident who had come to the FSB’s attention due to his pro-kremlin comments on Telegram.

During the searches, the SSU seized his mobile phone and computer equipment with evidence of the crime.

SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
