SSU detains another enemy informant in Odesa

As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in southern Ukraine, the SSU exposed another ruscist accomplice.

On banned social media, the traitor posted information on locations of Ukrainian Defence Forces and critical infrastructure facilities in Odesa region.

The occupiers used the information ‘picked up’ in social networks to prepare and launch targeted missile strikes.

When the strikes hit targets, the enemy informant went to the area to find out and publish their consequences for repeated air attacks.

The SSU Counterintelligence identified and detained the offender in Odesa.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a local resident who supports russia’s armed aggression and justifies russia’s war crimes.

On his pages in banned social networks, he also called for forceful seizure of state power and extermination of the Ukrainian people.

During the search of the suspect’s home, the law enforcement found computer equipment with evidence of unlawful activity.

SSU investigators have served the enemy accomplice a notice of suspicion under three Articles of the CCU:

  • 110.1 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability),
  • 161.1 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, or region),
  • 436-2.1, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint. The investigation is ongoing.

The operational and investigative activities were carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
