SSU detains another FSB agent who guided russian strikes at Sumy region
In Sumy, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent who helped russia conduct air attacks.
The perpetrator is a 36-year-old saleswoman at a local store. She came to russia’s attention through her husband, who lives in Kursk and cooperates with the russian intelligence services.
After remote recruitment, the asset received a task from her spouse to identify and transmit geolocations of the Defence Forces in the region to the occupiers.
To obtain the information, the agent covertly asked her acquaintance, an active serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then she drove to the area in her car to conduct reconnaissance near Ukrainian installations.
During these trips, she photographed the defence locations and marked them on Google Maps. The agent then summarised the information for a ‘report’ for russia’s federal security service.
Thanks to the prompt response of the SSU Counterintelligence, the traitor was detained at her place of residence.
A smartphone, on which she had stored the geolocations of potential ‘targets’ and which she used to contact the FSB was seized during the search.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Articles 28.2 and 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed upon prior conspiracy, by a group, under martial law).
The perpetrator is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Since the suspect’s husband is an FSB ‘liaison’ residing in russia, efforts to bring him to justice are underway.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Sumy region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
