SSU detains Shariy’s accomplice who tried to disrupt mobilization in Ukraine through enemy psyops
The SSU has prevented new attempts of the aggressor to undermine the socio-political situation in the south of Ukraine.
A collaborator who spread fakes about Ukraine’s Defence Forces and praised putin in social media has been detained near Odesa. The woman was hiding there as an IDP from Mykolaiv region.
The perpetrator was an asset of the banned shariy party and cooperated with the russian intelligence services.
On the enemy instructions, she administered a Telegram channel discrediting conscription to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and calling on Ukrainians to evade mobilization.
The aggressor’s accomplice also popularized the kremlin regime and russian occupation groupings fighting against Ukraine.
Communication with the occupiers was carried out through her father and brother.
Both of them left for russia before the start of the full-scale invasion. After the seizure of the left bank of Kherson region, they voluntarily joined the local ‘branch’ of the occupation ministry of internal affairs.
The investigation established that the woman had approved the content with an employee of russian intelligence before publishing it.
She also received from him a list of topical issues to ‘highlight’ through the controlled information resource.
For her cooperation with the ruscists, the woman received payments.
During the search, the SSU seized the suspect’s mobile phone and computer equipment, used in the sabotage against Ukraine.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111-1.6 (collaboration);
- 114-1.1 (obstructing the lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations).
The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Mykolaiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
