SSU detains three pro-russian agitators, including underground member of Shariy’s party
The SSU has uncovered another three pro-kremlin agitators who operated in different regions of Ukraine. They publicly supported russia’s armed aggression and called for seizure of the entire Ukraine.
In Mykolaiv region:
the head of an underground branch of the party of Shariy was detained. The perpetrator tried to organize subversive activities of the pro-kremlin ‘branch’ in the frontline areas of the region.
To do this, he engaged five residents, former members of the banned party and created a Telegram channel.
There, the members of cell spread russian propaganda fakes that whitewashed russia’s war crimes and justified the seizure of part of Ukraine’s territory.
The administrator of the channel also called for evading mobilization in Ukraine and incited provocations against Territorial Recruitment Centers.
In Zaporizhzhia region:
A local resident, a representative of the russian LDPR party, which supports the war against Ukraine, has been detained.
On his Odnoklassniki page, he campaigned for seizure of Zaporizhzhia and raising of the russian flag on local government buildings.
In Ternopil region:
A pro-russian propagandist from Dnipro has been exposed. The woman came to Ternopil region and spread posts on Telegram channels by the former head of the banned party Derzhava, Dmytro Vasylets.
The perpetrators have been notified of suspicion under Article 436-2.2, 436-2.3 of the CCU (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine).
The criminal actions of the head of the Shariy party underground cell are additionally qualified under two Articles of the CCU:
- 109.2 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power);
- 114-2.1 (unauthorized dissemination of information on the direction and movement of the AFU and other lawful formations, committed under martial law).
The investigations are underway. The suspects face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Ternopil regions under the procedural supervision of regional prosecutors’ offices.
